Ricoh Group employees will conduct the following activities to share their aspirations anew for promoting sustainable environmental management as One Global RICOH:
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Ricoh Global Eco Action initiative.
Under this initiative, Ricoh has implemented a broad spectrum of common global activities as well as local activities tailored to suit the distinct features of each area, thereby inspiring a greater number of people to join in the global eco action.
Implementation of the following activities allowed all Ricoh Group employees to share their aspirations for promoting sustainable environmental management as One Global RICOH.
The following local activities were conducted in the various regions specified across the globe:
Japan: Eliminated non-indigenous plant species along the Tamagawa river
Japan: Participated in the Arakawa river Clean Aid campaign together with customers
Japan: Served dishes made with eco-friendly ingredients at office cafeterias
Japan: Hosted the 10th anniversary lecture event
Japan: Actions were taken to conserve the Ena-no-Mori forest together with local residents
U.S.: Distributed seedlings of indigenous plant species to raise awareness of biodiversity
Canada: Conducted park cleanup activities
U.S.: Hosted a study group on biodiversity conservation
U.S.: Hosted a training program on Zero Waste to Landfill at REI plants
Singapore: Hosted panel discussions in collaboration with governments and other organizations
Singapore: Sponsored a roundtable discussion hosted by the World Environment Center (WEC)
China: Employees and their families planted trees at a wetland park
U.K: Conducted biodiversity conservation activities within the premises of a plant
Spain: Hosted an ecological event for families and children
U.K: Eliminated non-indigenous plants and planted indigenous trees in collaboration with a NGO

Individual Ricoh employees make a pledge for eco-action. This year, a total of 18,823 group employees made their own ECO Declaration. Major pledges include:
- Using double-sided printing and consolidated printing as often as possible
- Ensuring that air conditioning is set at an appropriate temperature
- Accurately separating garbage for reuse and recycling
- Carrying out eco-actions together with family members and friends

Netherlands: Company EV introduced to help reduce CO2 emissions
Singapore: Ricoh Asia Pacific organizing a forum in cooperation with other companies and government agencies
Japan: Children planting trees in areas working to rebuild local communities affected by the 2011 disaster
U.S.:Office equipment collected in Concord and San Francisco
Chile:The employees carried the Peumo plants home to plant them in their garden.
U.K.: Collecting unwanted clothes from employees to sell to recycling companies, and donating the proceeds of the sales to charity
Spain: Employees participating in conservation initiatives for the protected area in the natural park
Japan: Maintenance activities, including clearing undergrowth and removing fallen trees, were organized aimed at natural forest conservation
