TOKYO, December 18, 2024 – Ricoh announced today that its social contribution program in Japan, Ricoh Science Caravan, won the Award of Excellence in the large company category at the Career Education Awards organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The Career Education Awards have been held since fiscal 2010 to recognize outstanding career education initiatives by companies and organizations in order to encourage, disseminate, and promote such initiatives and their effects on society at large.

Since 2007, the award-winning Ricoh Science Caravan aimed to stimulate children's interest in science through first-hand experience, and to encourage their independent learning. Leveraging Ricoh's products, technology, and human resources of Ricoh, the program conducts science experiment workshops at school classes and science events throughout Japan.
