I took this photograph in a tunnel-like location so that the light at the back would be greatly blurred and give good bokeh. I had the model place her head close to the wall to create a shadow so I could contrast that shadow with the light in the direction of the exit. So that the viewer would be conscious of the subject's gaze, I photographed the model's face from as close as possible while at the same time putting in part of her hand to add variety to the image. The color has a bluish tint because I selected incandescent light for the white balance. The color differs from the actual appearance, but I purposely used this white balance because I wanted to give the image a cool feel.
