Ricoh Selected by Carbon Disclosure Project
as a Leading Company for Climate Change Disclosure

Tokyo, Oct. 31, 2012 — Ricoh Company, Ltd. was recognized by the Carbon Disclosure Project (hereinafter "CDP") as a leading company in disclosure of climate change information in terms of its efforts to disclose information regarding environmental conservation activities and climate change indices such as carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

CDP is an international not-for-profit organization representing 655 institutional investors that own a total of $78 trillion in managed assets, and works to gather important environmental information from businesses and cities. CDP sends questionnaires requesting disclosure of climate change information to approximately 5,000 companies worldwide, including 500 large Japanese companies in the FTSE Japan Index (hereinafter "Japan 500") and, assessing their status of disclosure based on their responses, it announces outstanding companies in its Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI). Ricoh was selected as one of the 22 CDLI companies in the Japan 500.

For disclosing information concerning its sustainable Environmental Management aimed at simultaneously achieving environmental conservation and profit, Ricoh established Environmental Principles and strives to provide its stakeholders with useful and accurate environmental information in a fair, comprehensible, and sustainable manner.
